This freshwater or brackish water nerite snail is truly a workhorse in the home aquarium. These beautiful snails won’t harm any other creature in the aquarium, and another nice feature is that they do not breed in straight freshwater. They would need brackish water to breed, so there is no need to worry about an army of snails over running the aquarium if you are not keeping them in brackish water.
